I sat with my jaw on the floor as I watched a fitness influencer’s YouTube video. How was this girl SO fit?
1 month later, I signed up for this woman’s workout program… with a catch.
Her program had me on 1200 calories/day, strength training 3x/week, and I was walking 20k steps at Penn State. I was starved. But, I dropped the weight and started to see an inkling of abs.
I was thrilled… until I regained all the weight and then steadily increased weight over the next 5 years.
I wanted to lose weight so I had the confidence to stop wearing so much black and hiding in the back of every picture.
I was trying everything. I ate “healthy” and started exercising more. Nothing was working. When I held up my new pair of jeans, I felt devastated at how huge they looked.
Then, during a HIIT session, I listened to a podcast about functional lab testing. It talked about hidden issues within the body and imbalances that could be the culprits behind my failed attempts at a healthy weight and better health.
Maybe this wasn’t about pushing harder, but about looking deeper. Functional lab testing became my new mission, a chance to finally get beneath the surface.
I was already a health nerd, so I became a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner to learn sustainable fat-loss methods and how to build a business that helped other women.
As I went through the curriculum, I applied anecdotal advice that only helped a little. I knew something was missing because I still couldn’t get the scale to budge.
It clicked once I reviewed my lab results halfway through the program. On top of my undeniable fatigue and weight gain, my hormones were tanked and my digestive and immune systems were weak.
After diligently implementing tailored lifestyle changes (like ditching all the HIIT), I started feeling my energy levels increase and my weight budge.
That’s why I decided I wanted to help other women struggling with weight loss resistance – so they didn’t have to suffer through wild diets and endless exercise or feel the absolute defeat of having to buy a new pair of jeans again.
I created my Holistic Fat Loss Fix Program which helps driven women sustainably lose weight and go from self-conscious to self-assured.
